Coffee filters

Shit. Mom called Ernie late yesterday afternoon and started the phone call with the words “well, everything’s o.k…..”. Not a promising beginning. Evidently yesterday morning around 10:00 Dad decided he needed to go to the store—he said they needed coffee filters and Mom’s test strips for her blood test. Well, normally those are mailed to them but they couldn’t find them. Mom found them after he left of course. Turns out they haven’t had coffee filters for months and have been using paper towel. Nobody told me—I would have bought them frigging coffee filters. Dad decided he was tired of using paper towels so off he went. By 2:00 Mom called the police. She never called Ernie or me—didn’t want to bother us. Sometime later a man called Mom—still not quite sure how that happened—I guess Dad was at his business—and talked to Mom and told her he would call the police and let them know where Dad was. So the police brought him home—-by this time it was 3:30 or 4:00 and he’d been walking around since 10:00 in the morning. Mom said the police were great—told her they took a picture of Dad. I guess they expect to be seeing him again. sigh.

I was so sad last night. I’m glad Rockstar: Supernova was on but even it didn’t quite do the trick. I’m just sad.

Thoughts?
