  2. oh Snowbird—yes! Actually California Dreamin’ is a heartbreaker for me too. It’s so familiar that sometimes I think it won’t get to me but then it sucks me in….

  3. California Dreamin’ would be at the top of the list for me, too, but it would have to share top billing with Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks

    I’ve always thought “Pretty Flamingo” by Manfred Mann had a sort of sad, melancholy edge to it. The following performance doesn’t quite capture that side of it, but the line-up of musicians alone makes me a bit misty-eyed for days gone by.
