I’m irritated with my children.  I’m irritated with my husband.  I’m irritated with myself for not feeling good.  I’m irritated with my job for having so much for me to do right now.  I’m irritated with my mother.  I’m irritated with the school.  I’m irritated with my life and I’m really irritated with my father’s car because the fucking horn doesn’t work and I really needed it for someone that was irritating me this morning.

  1. Are you irritated with me?! You can be. I basically vote for stress reduction…what can you do? If I was there I would talk you into going out for lunch. Love, Judi
ps irritation with Ernie doesn’t happen very often….

  3. No, I’m not irritated with you and I can’t be irritated with Ernie because he just showed up at my job with a bouquet of lilies AND he took Dad to get his hearing aid fixed….

  5. I feel for you. I hate days like that. Sometimes it feels like I could handle one minor emergency way better than a bunch of little annoyances.
Good luck, I’m sure things will get better.

  7. I was feeling exhausted & depressed, and then I read Kitty Carlisle’s obit (I share her birthday), and this really cheered me up:
So, it’s totally understandable, and maybe the problems will dissolve by the time you’re 79.

  10. Whoops. I didn’t preview & screwed up that last one. There was supposed to be a middle paragraph from the obit:
“I’m more optimistic, more enthusiastic, and I have more energy than ever before,” she said just after her 79th birthday. Energy, she said, came from doing the things she wanted to do. “You get so tired when you do what other people want you to do,” she said.
