Just that kind of morning

So this morning when I cut my antidepressant in half (because the full dose makes me feel like a zombie) it broke into two unequal pieces.  I looked at them consideringly and popped the larger one in my mouth.  It was just that kind of morning.  Just the kind of morning you have when you have two kids and one of them needs to leave the house at 7:25 and you need to leave by 7:35.   Just the kind of morning you have when the five year old beats the seven year old to the best seat on the couch and refuses to give it up.  Just the kind of morning you have when the seven year old is a SORE LOSER and collapses on the ground covered with his blanket and writhes in agony, emitting periodic shrieks of rage.  Just the kind of morning when you get up late, spend half your time trying to get the writhing seven year old to drink some juice and eat breakfast and you try to keep your husband calm.  Just the kind of morning when you remember that you were going to try to get up early to finish making the soup you were cooking for your parents’ dinner tonight.  Just the kind of morning when it is mid April and snowing outside and you have a waaaay too busy weekend coming up.  Just that kind of morning.  Just that kind of morning.
