As I’ve mentioned here before, one of the unexpected benefits of blogging has been reconnecting with old friends. I am not particularly skilled at keeping in touch with friends so this has been a real treat. This Saturday was a case in point—–Nancy Baym was in town, and as we’ve been keeping in touch via our blogs for the past few months, we got our families together. What a wonderful way to have a lazy Saturday brunch…. Her boys are beautiful, blonde and bright and were pronounced by my guys to be ‘awesome’ and it’s always such a pleasure to find that you really like a friend’s spouse!
In some ways I find myself thinking, "how the hell did Nancy Baym get so grown up?" but then I realize that I’m grown up too. Amazing.
A wonderful day. Thanks blog.
Second that “thanks blog” and thanks to you and Ernie and Leo and Owen too. No picture of that fabulous ‘lazy brunch’ food spread? THANKS!!!

I was wondering who stole my “look exactly the same as 20-years-ago” pills.
BAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYMMMMMM!!!!!!
Don, I will have you know that I have tried to comment on your blog but it won’t let me. Ha! Drop a line sometime and tell me about your life.
Yeah, there was one day you went to grab lunch from Record Service and I snuck those pills out of your bag. 🙂
I have to agree that Nancy doesn’t look any different to me from 20 yrs ago . . . except that I notice more of her mother in her face. Thanks for posting those pix!
