I canceled this morning’s hair cut appointments I had for my mother and myself—let’s just say it’s not a quick process and I’m starting to panic because I haven’t packed a thing and we’re moving Friday.  (If you’re available to help Friday morning Dennis…let your brother know he keeps SAYING he’s going to call you…).  So then yesterday afternoon I get an email with a contract  for work that I’ve been waiting for…ohhhh, something like SIX MONTHS. grrr.  So it’s a good thing the haircuts were canceled as I find myself at work this morning.  I’m ready to take off now but really don’t want to so thought I would post instead….  HA…that’s how to get work done, isn’t it?

My dearest friend Eileen is coming down though and I can’t tell you how much calmer that makes me feel.  We have been friends since we were 14 so my parents now consider her their fourth daughter and I feel like part of her family too.  Every time I think "oh, Eileen is coming" I get this incredible physical sense of relief….

It feels better to be in the thick of it than worrying about it.  Ernie got the keys the other day, the bed is being delivered and set up today and hopefully things will go smoothly, particularly with my father.
