I was worried about this appointment but I guess all is well….Ernie’s just going to have to put up with the pain… We saw our beloved Dr. Sapiente. Thus far there’s no redness or lump that would indicate an abscess was starting to form, as has happened in the past with these injections.  He thinks that perhaps the injections (and the little depot or pellet kind of thing) probably went too close to a nerve.  Which is good and bad….but mostly good (well, uh, except that whole pain issue Ern) because it means it’s a physical issue and not a sign of anything else.

So even though I hate, hate, hate to see Ernie in pain, I’m glad we’re not looking at anything more serious.  We’ll go back in a bit over three months for his next dose of Lupron and at that time we’ll look at other options for delivering it. Poor sweet pea…..

  1. Sounds like good news, but that will be a long few months for Ernie. I hope he finds something to help with the pain. I’m so sorry you guys are going through this. There are no words to describe how much cancer sucks.
