I am so sorry to learn of your father’s death.
I will certainly keep you in my thoughts.
Please let me know if there is ANYTHING at all I can do to help.

Cynthia, I am very sorry for your loss. I hope the wonderful memories of your father stay in your heart forever and give you strength and warmth, always.
I’m so sorry you lost your father. I hope his memory is a blessing to you and your boys. I really feel for your mother. How difficult it must be to lose her spouse so quickly.
Cynthia,
The stories you related about your father inspired me. He showed great courage throughout his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Cynthia, I’m so sorry for your loss. I ever met the man, but found him so endearing through the stories you told in your posts, even through the hard times. You and the entire family have my condolences, best wishes and prayers.
Dear Cynthia, I am so sorry for your (and your family’s) loss. Hopefully you will all remember the good times and the more challenging ones will blur. My thoughts go to you and your family.
When Great Trees Fall by Maya Angelou
When great trees fall,
rocks on distant hills shudder,
lions hunker down
in tall grasses,
and even elephants
lumber after safety.
When great trees fall
in forests,
small things recoil into silence,
their senses
eroded beyond fear.
When great souls die,
the air around us becomes
light, rare, sterile.
We breathe, briefly.
Our eyes, briefly,
see with
a hurtful clarity.
Our memory, suddenly sharpened,
examines,
gnaws on kind words
unsaid,
promised walks
never taken.
Great souls die and
our reality, bound to
them, takes leave of us.
Our souls,
dependent upon their
nurture,
now shrink, wizened.
Our minds, formed
and informed by their
radiance,
fall away.
We are not so much maddened
as reduced to the unutterable ignorance
of dark, cold
caves.
And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I will give those precious boys an extra dose of care and comfort this week. God bless you all.

He sounded like a great man that lived a fantastic loving life. Although, I am sure he wished he could have better told you just how much you meant to him. A bush and a peck for sure.
Ernie, I hope surgery went well… I can’t imagine the week you are going through…
We are available for any kid drop offs you guys need.
Sad, and thinking of you,
