Yes, there's snow, and generally that makes me happy but it's not enough today. My head feels as though it's filled with concrete, I've run out of kleenex so am now clutching a roll of toilet paper. I got irritated with Owen and wasn't very nice to him,  Leo's still sick as a dog and looks horrible; I have a feeling he won't make school tomorrow. Monday morning looms and I can't think of anything that will make me happy right now.

How's that for a grumpy Sunday? I keep reading bits of news but can't focus on anything longer than a paragraph. This leads to clicking on things that don't even interest me and then I wonder why it's not satisfying. Ernie and I are trying to figure out what to fix for dinner. We both feel lousy and out of sorts. We want something kind of comforting but good for tender stomachs. I start poking around on this blog looking for old recipes. I gotta say, the search feature on this thing sometimes sucks. I don't get it. Anyway, I finally found the recipe and realized that the reason it didn't show up in the search was because I'd misspelled a word, khicdhi, not khichi. The search still sucks though. You're much better typing and then what you're searching for in the browser. Of course I'm assuming you want to find something on my blog. What the hell is wrong with me?  Anyway, as I read ingredients and added things to the grocery list I noticed a youtube alert that Stacie Huckeba had  added a new Rod Picott video the other day. So after I updated the grocery list (kleenex, wine, cumin) I lazily clicked on it.

I feel so much better.

It sounds so fucking good.

Ok, I still feel like hell, work still looms, and I still feel bad about being bitchy with Owen, but I feel so much better. Even though I know the power of music to transform, it can still shock me on gray winter morning.

Thanks Rod.

You can preorder the album here….out in the US on March 30, 2018. We'll have to coax him back at some point too….but go pre-order now. Off with you.

(oh, and please consider this as an invite to let the music of Wild Ponies to transform your Saturday night this week. They will do it too.)
