I'm missing Ernie. In fact, I miss him so much that I put marigolds in our window boxes, as he loves marigolds. My seeds are not planted yet, my on-site gardener seems to be lacking a bit of enthusiasm. We shall see. Having Ernie gone in prime gardening season may throw us off a bit this year.
I love bleeding heart so much. I like the many shades of pink as they fade from their initial intense color.
Maybe this year I'll actually dig up my horseradish.
Poor Ernie is going to miss his tree peonies…and it looks like a good year.
I may be the best year ever for our puppywoods. They're dogwoods, but they just don't grow so they are known as puppywoods. Very impressive showing by the white puppywood this year.
