Sunday morning. I sit here with my sunrise smoothie. Sunrise or sunset, either one. I've named them this as I like to watch them change colors. In the blender it was the bright red of cherries, the soft green of avocado, the different shades of a mix of greens and the white of coconut. When I start to drink it, it is a pale pink. As it sits waiting for me to take more sips, it slowly changes to a muted green. I love watching them change. Each one is different but they always change. Life lesson for today, courtesy my smoothie.
Owen is impatiently wanting to start doing work in the yard so he can get it over with. Me, I'm not in such a rush. I have a lot to do today but am fine with starting slowly.
Yesterday I worked in the morning and then let a child make me really cross, which put me out of sorts. Ernie finally swept me up and we went out to Riggs. Man, was it hopping! The skies were grey and eventually opened up and the rain somehow released me from my grumpiness. We stopped by 25 O'Clock to get some pictures and hear some of Los Guapos…they are so damn good. Later, Ernie cooked some chicken thighs his favorite Jaques Pepin way…the smell of roasted garlic and mustard and chicken was intoxicating. I got up in the night and when I went out in the hall I could still get a whiff of it. I made do with a big salad and some salmon, and a piece of dark chocolate. We watched a bit of tv and then went up to bed. I listened to Anne McCue as I drifted off to sleep.
