Yesterday was a good day. I got so excited about my new office that I made Owen and Ernie bring our grandfather clock into the room. Who doesn't want a grandfather clock in their office?
Later in the day Ernie found ourselves out and about, and the dark skies to the north lured us on a drive. The rain hit at home just as we got to our porch. Nothing better than sitting on the porch watching the rain. At least it gave me a chance to finally deadhead my basil. Look at all those flowers on it. Shameful!
A week or so ago, TWO friends mentioned Garrett's popcorn in their feed and it made me so jealous. Thus, when Heather texted me and said, "If I pass a Garrett's, what flavor?," I didn't say that I shouldn't eat it, or that she didn't need to do that, I said, " CHEDDAR!" When Ernie picked them up from the train, she kindly delivered a bag of it for me.
It was heavenly.
Today? Not feeling so hot. This seems a cruel, cruel blow.
I must say, you have to appreciate a cat who loves cheese popcorn.
TONIGHT? The great Bill Chambers (along with Kevin Elliott and Bill Poss) at Sandra Ahten and Kevin Elliott's Autumn Ridge House Concerts!
Onward.
