This morning I woke up and it was grey outside and I just stayed happily ensconced in my bed reading a book. I finally finished it and trudged downstairs and suddenly thought, "Good GOD, I'm having brunch with Boo in TEN minutes!" Luckily it doesn't take me long to get ready. We had an absolutely lovely time, as always. My meal was WONDERFUL. These days it's a bit iffy for me at restaurants, but Destihl had a special of basil marinated chicken breast, farro, quinoa, basil oil, red bell pepper, mint, bacon and peach dressing, and lemon zest. I ordered it with just quinoa, no farro and it was really, really great. YAY! I had a good meal in a restaurant! Thanks, Boo!
Last night Ernie went on a 45 playing kick. It was lovely. The Jam, the Swingers, National Drag, the Elvis Brothers, Radio Stars…the 45 pile is a mighty thing.
I gotta say, Fascist Groove Thang sure as hell rings true again, all these years later…
