Ernie made me promise to go to the farmers' market with him….the one before Thanksgiving is always my favorite so I dragged myself out of bed to go. It's not that I sleep that late, I just like to stay in bed and read on a Saturday morning. This morning was well worth skipping that, of course.

Kale, celery, salad mix, and broccoli from Farmer Greg. Beets, mustard mix, and Brussels sprouts from Sola Gratia. Purple, yellow, and orange carrots from Blue Moon. Four turkey backs from Triple S.

Damn good haul.

On the way home I finally stopped and took two pictures I keep telling myself to take. This new view of one of my very favorite buildings in town startles me every time we drive by.

And, my beloved Vriner's, as who knows how long it will be there.

No plans for the rest of the day. Lots of things I should do, of course, just nothing planned and that feels kinda nice. Maybe a fire in the fireplace? Maybe a Hallmark Christmas movie? I don't watch real Christmas movies until after Thanksgiving but somehow Hallmark movies don't count. And when we watch them, we drink every time someone says the word cocoa. It's kinda fun…you should try it.

Cocoa.

Onward.
