The fog had lifted by the time we woke up on Sunday. I did a bit of work on my laptop while Ernie perused the news. We had driven by a place that looked promising for breakfast. I was tempted by the name of the Blue Ox restaurant but went with my gut and headed to Amy's Corner Cafe in downtown Monroe.

I was spot on with my Monroe choices if I do say so myself (bows).

Who on earth eats pie after breakfast? But it was $1! And the waitress brought us two pieces because she cut them too small.

Delightful.

Between the cheese and the breakfast and the pie I felt as though I might not eat for days, and by dinner time I was craving a salad, but sometimes, you just have to go for it.

Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
