Like so many of us, I am trying to keep my anxiety under control. Waking up at 3 in the morning every day and reading the news for an hour or so doesn't help so I'm trying to curb myself. I also made the mistake of trying to make sense of our Carle accounts and that didn't help. I don't think they have our correct health insurance in place and so we're being billed more than I think we should be. Lord only knows I hope I can straighten it out. Ernie's little hospital adventures in January came to over $100,000 before insurance. It's mindboggling.
Listening to music helps. The other night I listened to Mary Lee Kortes and Eric Ambel do a Prine song, then a set by Ben de la Cour and then, finally, a set by my guy, Eric Brace. My chest felt open and light for the first time in too long. Thank you, all, for the music and the healing.
Other brighter notes? Well, this round of chemo has been relatively easy on Ernie, AND we've got our first batch of local asparagus from Farmer Greg today. AND I had cold leftover Papa Del's gluten free pizza for breakfast. You gotta take the pleasures where you find them, right?
Oh, and Bob continues the good life.
Onward. Stay safe, all.
