We woke up on Sunday with the rain pouring down. Ernie let me sleep while he watched the news and drank bad motel coffee. Finally, we pushed ourselves out of the room. I will say we did miss our standard diner breakfast but I’m not ready to go to restaurants yet. We did sniff mournfully as we passed some good contenders. We took a few photos in Muncie but several we’d wanted to catch were gone. These signs and reminders of the past are disappearing faster than ever.

We trundled on home, with the skies getting darker and rainier as we went. As wonderful as it felt to wander, it always feels good to get home to all the sweet peas.

These wanders make me feel more myself.

Onward.
