I think the animals know something is up. Packed boxes are appearing in our living room and everyone is a little wound up. Last night we gave Owen and Trinity a housewarming gift of a chunky gift card to Target and their eyes got huge and then we all cried and hugged each other. I love them. They went upstairs and talked to Leo about boxes because Trinity has forbidden Owen from buying any more expensive boxes from U-Haul. It was kinda loud and everyone was chattering. Ernie tried to remember the line from some Christmas song that said something like, “Mama always liked it best when the house was loud.”

For those of you that don’t see my Facebook posts, Leo has a new blog post up of his own about his LS&I trip to the Upper Peninsula and, while I admit to being fully biased, it’s pretty great. I also love his Instagram feed. His captions sometimes expose his romantic soul.

Yesterday I was sitting at Einstein’s waiting for Pam, looking blearily at my phone and half listening to the next table. I heard someone “that ABC song” and I thought, hmmm….they look too young to know that. Then I looked over and there was a toddler. Oh, THAT ABC song, not this one:

Ok. Onward.
