We had our second diner breakfast of the trip. It was pretty good…we’ll give it a 7 out of 10. It also raises the question…what do you do with your walker when you sit in a booth? By the way, names are still under consideration.

I always take lousy pictures of this old brewery in Warsaw, Illinois, just along the Mississippi. I get freaked out by how close the river is and the fact that there is no fence or anything like that!

Ok, they obviously went to some trouble filling in the archway of this bar…ornamental detail on the brick, etc. But what the hell are those strange shingled barnacles on the windows???

I just love little old gas stations like this. Wouldn’t that make a nice little place for me? I don’t know what I’d do there…maybe a tiny little antique shop? I’m sure I’d make a fortune.

Onward.

  1. So sorry to see the Warsaw Brewery in such sad repair, Cynthia! Helluva siting for that small place. I’ve always loved it. A question – is the other photo of a brick and frame corner with a for sale sign part of the brewery? I suspect not, but I had to ask. Bigger question — may I steal the brewery photos, please?

Very glad you and Ernie are able to get out and around some!

    Thanks for sharing your adventures.
