Welp, we’ve made it official, Sandwich Life House Concerts is coming to an end. That’s not to say we might not have a pop up show or party in the future, but it’s time.
Fifteen years. Not too shabby.
Here’s the email I sent out if you haven’t seen it.
I won’t deny some tears were shed as we made the decision but we finally realized it would take pressure off of us. Now granted, we were the ones putting pressure on ourselves, but just the same, we need to prioritize and simplify life where we can.
We will celebrate BIG TIME on Saturday night. Celebrate fifteen years of LIVE! music (that capitalization was in honor of Van). Fifteen years of meeting and befriending some of the most wonderful people we’ve ever had in our lives.
Jon and Paul are the perfect guys to play us out.
I have activated the spreadsheet and we have begun prep. We’re making pulled pork with a couple of bbq sauces, coleslaw and sesame noodles just because I HAVE to make sesame noodles. BYOB as always although we’ll have a bit to get started. Suggested donation of $20 (or more) to go to the artists. Potluck at 6 (don’t feel obligated to bring anything, there’s always plenty). Music to follow.
Hope to see you Saturday night!
Onward.
Thinking of you as Saturday night approaches! I wish I could be there with you. Thank you for spreading the music for 15 years – that’s a damn good accomplishment!!
