Buy Me a Coffee

A dear friend took this picture for me because she knows I love #oddfellows buildings. Thanks @margiemc54 ❤️ You made my day! Who wouldn't want a beautiful octagonal library in their town? Although the Apple Valley Motel burned some years back, the sign still stands. I gotta say, that little semi-truck shaped add-on sign saying 'circle drive turn around' just gets me. No neon left on this little guy but lovely arrow and colors just the same. It was a #johnmargolies kind of sky so we were pleased to stop and visit this little guy. Long day driving to St. Louis and back for Ernie's treatment at Barnes but went a bit off our route for this! Just so damn beautiful. And that little lobster down there. 🦞 Thanks, Luna Cafe, you made our day. The fact that the boys take pictures of signs for me whenever they travel just brings me more joy than I can say. Thanks @blackwoah ❤️ Beautiful White Hall, Illinois. Brussels, Illinois has a bit of magic to it. Some places just do. Can't explain it. #signs #serviceentrance #midwest I haven't come cross a Red & White store in a while. So nice. I have SUCH a soft spot for #Oddfellows buildings. And when one has a little NEON sign? Ahhhhh. Another shot of the sad remains of the Greene County Alms House. Oh, White Hall. You are beautiful. The sad remains of the #GreeneCounty Alms House. Such an incredibly elegant early church to come across in rural Illinois. What a pleasure to come upon this simple arch on a spring day.⁣ Oh, Illinois, you do you. #neon #neonsigns #motel #vintagemotel I hate it when buildings are just open to the elements. Poor little building. And again, @leo_smworks comes through for me. A classic northern Wisconsin supper club. ❤️ You know you've raised your son right when, while a busy trip, he takes the time to stop and take a picture of a sign he knew I'd love. ❤️ A friend sent this to me and I just loved the raindrops on it. I remember going to this restaurant when I was a little kid to get ice cream. It was VERY exciting. A bit of color in Beaverville, IL. #rurex #oldtrucks #missouri #wander Papineau grade school. It sold for $35,000 a few years back. I'm hoping someone loves it. I do have a soft spot for a good grotto. Little French-Canadian town in Illinois. Four nuns came from France in the 1890’s. The first novitiate from the area joined them but was sent to Lourdes due to ill health. She felt it healed her and when she came back she had a grotto built based on the one at Lourdes. Ok, I couldn't help myself. I had to post another shot of this. I guess that little hole beneath the empty sign is where you crawl in. Ok, I'm afraid this one doesn't go into my collection of little buildings because I don't know if we could fight those vines to get in. Another for my small building collection. I love those old burglar alarms...and that beautiful stone.
